🌟 Welcome to the Racine Chapter of Royal Family KIDS Camp & Mentoring Club!
We are proud to be part of an international network of Royal Family KIDS Camps and Mentoring Clubs dedicated to creating safe, nurturing, and life‑impacting experiences for children who have experienced trauma.
Since 2002, our Racine County chapter has provided a week of hope, joy, and stability for local children in foster care. Our camp is staffed entirely by trained volunteers who are committed to offering compassionate support and meaningful connection. With a 1:2 counselor‑to‑camper ratio, every child receives individualized attention and care throughout the week.
We work closely with case managers from the Racine Human Service Department to ensure each camper’s needs are understood and supported. Their feedback—along with that of caregivers and campers—has been overwhelmingly positive.
The impact of camp lasts far beyond the week itself. Two former campers, after being adopted, chose to return to camp rather than take a trip to Disney World. Many others have come back as staff or counselors, eager to give new campers the same sense of safety, love, and positive memories they once received.
Royal Family KIDS Camp and Mentoring Club exist to remind every child that they are valued, seen, and deeply loved. We’re grateful you’re here to learn more about this mission and the lives being transformed in Racine County.
FOR THE CHILDREN
For the Children (FTC) is the umbrella organization that oversees Royal Family KIDS Camps and Mentoring Clubs. Since 1985, FTC has united volunteers, churches, businesses, and community agencies in a shared mission to provide safe, transformative camp and mentoring experiences for children who have endured abuse, neglect, or abandonment.
Over the years, FTC’s work has expanded beyond camps and mentoring to include broader advocacy efforts. This includes promoting fostering and adoption, supporting foster parents and birth parents, and equipping social workers and case managers who serve vulnerable children every day.
